Bridge to Terabithia (2007)

My rating:

I saw this movie last week on Youtube and I thought it was a great movie. It stars Josh Hutcherson, AnnaSophia Robb, Bailee Madison, Robert Patrick and Zooey Deschanel. It is based on the award-winning novel by Katherine Paterson, which I also read, and it is the story of Jess Aarons (played by Josh Hutcherson)who meets a girl named Leslie Burke (played by AnnaSophia Robb). Together, they create the imaginary land of Terabithia and rule as king and queen. This friendship helps Jess cope with the tragedy that makes him realize what Leslie had taught him. I would recommend this touching film for the whole family.

Also, here is the trailer of the movie.

  1. My beloved Gal, I have to tell you what your touching review is doing to me – it makes me wait impatiently until the movie will arrive in Israel and gives me a craving to rush and watch it as soon as possible. It sounds like an optimistic, romantic and positive movie, filled with fantasy and hope, just what we need these days. Also, watching it and knowing that you saw it and loved it, is going to bring me closer to you and, for 2 hours, will allow me to close the gap of distance and time between us.
I love you very very much !!!

    • I forgot to mention that I saw it on Youtube and it came out in Israel years ago. You can look for it in stores on DVD.
